Wurz’ Cox takes time out from last minute race preparation, for a little R&R with friends The Blades air display team at their home at Sywell Aerodrome prior to travelling to the 2012 Isle of Man TT. Top Gun and the Blades, sponsored by the RAF Association will both be at the Isle of Man this year. Top Gun will be competing, and the Blades will be performing aerobatic displays over Douglas during the festivities.
Modern race bikes came face to face with classic warbirds recently when Topgun Racing were invited to visit the Historic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Two of TopGun's bikes were delivered fresh from race preparation for the 2014 TT were duly delivered to be photographed alongside some of the world's most iconic aircraft.The BBMF very Kindly wheeled out a Hurricane MkIIC and Spitfire Mk PRXIX to be teamed up with a CBR 1000RR and a CBR 600RR and all agreed the aircraft and bikes looked absolutely splendid together! Whilst the Topgun bikes can be seen battling for a podium at the 2014 TT, the Historic BBMF aircraft can be seen in the skies across the UK throughout the summer, or can be visited at their home base of RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

A measure of just how well known the Top Gun Racing team has become, is that news of their new signing in 2014, the top South African Rider, A J Ventor, was swiftly picked up by the BBC, and featured on their BBC Sport/Motorsport Section.
To celebrate the success of the Top Gun Racing Team's success at the inaugural Classic TT, where Sergeant Adrian Cox climbed onto the podium as best privateer, RAF Active Magazine chose to feature the team within their official in-house magazine, distributed to all RAF personnel, using images provided by Ilse of Man Race Photography.
